  1. I picked Harry Potter and Philosophy If Aristotle ran Hogwarts by: David Baggett and Shawn E. Klein I picked this book because I've read all the Harry Potter book's and I have seen all the movie's and I really liked them so I wanted to learn more about them from a real life prespective. Also because the fact that all the real book's are fiction so I wanted a real world experence in this catagory for my favorit topic. They talk about the thing's and people in Harry Potter and how different thing's would or could work if they were real.

  2. The Book I choose to read is Harry, A history... This book is about J.K Rowling and, the author of this book, Melissa Analli's adventures through the years of writing the harry potter books... I choose it beacuse the harry potter series is one of my favourite series of fiction. Melissa Anelli talk about her frienship with Rowling and the ways they got around the problems faced with the rising phenomenon that is Harry Potter, The boy who lived. The book ends with the releasing of the Epic Conclusion of thte series... The deathly hallows...

  3. I chose Cold War by Jeremy Isaac's and Taylor Downing, because the concept of the Cold War interests me, because of the weapons, war tactics, and the different countries intention that drove them to take such a demanding course of action. I have once read the book The Cold War which was a short book based off of the main points of the Cold War, so I decided to take out a book that went into more detail about this concept. The only other experience that I have had with this concept is the little amount I have learned from Mr. Zablotney telling me the history of the Cold War. For these reason this is why the Cold War interests me and I chose this book.

  4. I picked a booked by David Mason by one the most controversial Polititians that Great Britian has seen, "Churchill". I pick this book because it deals with WWII and how most of Western Europe had been collapsed by Hitler's onslaught, but Britian resisted the nazis..... swag.

  6. I have chosen the book "Dreams from My Father" by "Barack Obama". I have chosen this book because it looked a little bit interesting, and most of the other books in the non-fiction section were already checked out. I predict that something tragic happens to Obama's father, probably death or an accident of some sort. Which possibly causes heart ache and trouble within his family, Obama describes the trouble of having to grow up without a father there or diseased, or physically impaired. I have not read anything that Obama has written or published, nor do I have any personal experiences that involve Obama in any way, shape, or form.

  7. I chose the book "Modern Japan" by Don Nardo.I picked this book because I am hoping to go to Japan as an exchange student, and thought that if I am able to go it would be helpful to know a bit about the country. I have always wanted to live in another country because I believe it is a good thing to broaden the mind by being exposed to different cultures. Also, Japan is really one of the only places that has slightly piqued my interest.Another small reason for choosing this book might come from the fact that my favorite drink comes from Japan (which is Ramune by the way). Though this book doen't mention the drink I think it partially led to my descision of choosing a book about Japan and Japanese history.

  9. I chose the book are "Are video games harmful?" by Hal Marcovitz. I picked this non fiction book because I play video games often and I was curious if they were harming me in any way. I thought the book was going to be about how video games can physically harm you such as decreased vision or high blood pressure but i was mistaken. Although they do mention some minor physical things its mostly about the mental side. Such as increased violence and addition to video games. It explains all the symptoms of video game addition and (many of them i do meet) people often end of taking their own lives if they dont get help. So after reading this i have toned down my video gaming.

  10. I chose to read the novel, A Long Walk, by Slawomir Rawicz. I chose to read this novel because of my interest in history and war. Mr Zabloteny highly recommended this non fiction book, and this was all the inspiration I needed to begin reading. In the novel the writer discuses a polish soldiers struggles in a russian prison and his escape to India. The book was much more graphic and detailed than I predicted at first. This novel unveils some of the disturbing things that went on during World War 2, that I hope I will never have to experiance in my lifetime. I would recommend this book to anyone who would be interested.
